Senior Automation Engineer (Medical Device - Start up)


As a Senior Automation Engineer it´s your mission to Implement, develop and maintain automated test solutions in our clients company.

Because of you, we will have a robust, reliable and safe software infrastructure. You will design, create, implement and maintain our development testing infrastructure from start-to-end. You enable our ambition to automate as much as possible of development, testing, integration and infrastructure related tasks. Whether it’s planning and executing tests to support project features and milestones or identifying and updating bugs - you’re able to deliver across each project.

About the role

You will evaluate our current test situation and find solutions and tools that will move us forward.

You’re confident to decide and advise on the choice to either build applications in-house, or implement external tools or applications.

We expect you to deliver;

1. Develop and maintain the automated test suites.

2. Improve testability of our software by influencing the requirement process.

3. Involve the development team in the automation effort, sharing knowledge and practices"

Who our client is:

Our client is an internationally operating start-up in medical technology that develops breath analysis applications for clinical practice. They aim to bring cutting edge, data driven medicine to clinical practice to increase the chances of survival with different diseases, save costs, and improve the quality of care and and of life.

They are currently working on further validation and implementation of their Covid-19 rapid test in the Netherlands. They are also working on a dozen clinical studies spread across locations in North America, Europe and Asia.

They are scaling up and growing as fast as we can, and that’s exactly where you come in.

Who you are

You like the combination of doing both coding and testing. You are able to build a test framework and a test automation project from scratch. You understand various test-specific design patterns and know when to use each. You´re also involved in monitoring and triaging builds in an effort to actively listen to what the tests are saying about the status of the product.

The skills and experience we expect you need to have are:

  • Programming: .Net framework and C#
  • Tools: Selenium
  • Experience with Web applications and API testing
  • Well versed in coding as well as testing
